UK companies, tracked for change: a dated record of ownership and filing changes, sourced from Companies House. Research public filings on companies you’re already considering — not a recommendation, a factual history.

Which companies are included

A company is added when Companies House records show all of the following:

  • it is an active UK private limited company, incorporated within the last 10 years;
  • at least one of its SIC codes is 62012 (business and domestic software development), 62020 (IT consultancy), 62090 (other IT service activities), 63110 (data processing and hosting), 63120 (web portals), 58210 (publishing of computer games) or 58290 (other software publishing); and
  • it has two or more people with significant control, or a company or other legal entity as a person with significant control.

Once added, a company stays on the list even if those facts later change — for example if it is dissolved or its ownership changes — so its history remains available. Inclusion follows these criteria only: it is not a judgement of a company’s quality or prospects, or a suggestion to invest.
